The Metros within the Delhi has finally decided to propose a method of biometric identification for all the students and all the senior citizens which will help them to enable the different discount on the rail fares in the coming time. The Different discounts and the rebates actually have not been recommended for the various metros in Delhi so far in order to go for preventing any type of “misuse”. According to the reports, the chief of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said that they are all set to apply the biometric identification system to go for having various rates of concession for travelling. The Chief of the DMRC mentioned that the successive Fare Fixation Committees also including the most recent hike in the metro prices also go for considering the proposal of the various rebates but it did not works in order to prevent any type of future misuse. Also, the existing system had no related mechanism which can differ the various normal commuters as well as people in certain categories.
As we all know very well that fares of the metro in Delhi city has increased almost about 25% and 67% last year and also there are large number of students who used to attend their classes and colleges on daily basis through metro and therefore results in putting extra pressure on students. So, biometric ID will helps in reducing down the burden and also give 30 to 50% concession on the metro fares along with the all senior citizens. The centre is now working on this in order to give you the best possible help and facility to give you comfortable and stress free travelling. This will make the student’s life more easy that need to travel whole day for studying and coaching.
