Products Services: Mohali Industries Association Mohali Industries Association – the only ISO Certified Association representing 485 large, medium and small scale industrial units located in Mohali and its surroundings, got registered in 1972, to achieve provision of adequate infrastructure facilities for the industry. It provides the much needed link between the industry and the Government for a better understanding and maintains a rapport by holding regular dialogues with departments connected with the industry. These efforts helped in achieving improved infrastructures in the area and provided support to entrepreneurs for hassle free running of their ventures.
On account of its active role in highlighting problems and issues confronting the industry and in keeping a regular dialogue with departments connected with industry, our Association has been nominated on various advisory committees set up by State and Central Government like Sales Tax, Labour, Minimum Wages, Civic Amenities, Industrial Finance, Export Promotion, Industry Facilitation Council, Central Excise etc.
Large scale industries like Sun Pharmaceuticals,, PUNCOM, Philips, Spice, Idea Cellular Ltd.., Beckons Industries Ltd., Cheema Boilers Limited, Godrej & Boyce, Ecko Cables Ltd, ICI Paints Ltd., Spray Engineering Works, International Switchgears Ltd., etc. are its active members and some of its former presidents have been from these units.
Seminars/workshops/lectures on various subject relevant to industry are arranged for the benefit of entrepreneurs on account of changing industrial scenario due to liberalization and globalization etc. Foreign trips are also organized to expose the members to technology development adopted abroad.
Our Association is an associate member of apex organizations like PHDCCI, FIEO, COSIA and CII. It participates actively in the activities of these bodies.
Members are kept informed of the various changes in policies, rules and regulations through our fortnightly News Bulletin and by circulars through email regularly. Urgent and Important information is sent to all the members in minutes through the Group SMS software which has been installed in the office.
To build up closer ties between employees and employers and to maintain a conducive atmosphere, Free Eye Check-up and treatment camps, Health Check-up camps, Blood donation camps, Interactive meetings with ESI officials to solve problems being faced by workers are held regularly as contribution of MIA towards society, its members and their employees.
Family picnics and get togethers are organized for the benefit of our members and their families. There are various games and activities organized for enjoyment of members. These get togethers promote harmony and oneness among members and their families. MIA also has facilities of Table Tennis, Badminton, Carrom and Chess for its members. Sports tournaments are organized annually to de-stress the members from their usual routine of hardwork and stress. Members take part in this tournament in large numbers.
