The government of Punjab has decided to go for developing a new city near Mohali Airport within over 5,000 acres of land space as stated by Urban and Housing Development Minister of State. After completing the first official meeting related to this topic, the minister has also announced that the beginning of this project would be acquired under the particular policy of land pooling. According to the various reports during press release, the land of about 560 acres within the Chandigarh city would be acquired by the end of this year 2018 and the remaining land will also be acquired for the various residential works. A road will be made which will be of four lane and connecting Mohali to New Chandigarh. The department has planned and also uploaded different master plans on the basis of the revenue on the website for reference of the people which will be completed within next coming two years.
The coming future of this project is to linking the expected number of commercial activities within the area with the more number of flights from the international airport in Mohali. The area surrounded to this project can be the best for turning into a best hub for various economic activities because of having the best future of services like cargo, car rentals, hotels etc. This type of project will also see the development of high density of hotel development, business centers, and restaurants along with the exhibition centers etc. Therefore, the area near to Chandigarh is preparing to change and becoming developed within coming time period.
