CHANDIGARH: The residents of the Tricity woke up to a rainy surprise on Monday morning. While city observatory recorded around 22.6mm rainfall till 8.30am, Chandigarh airport observatory recorded 5.5mm rainfall.
The minimum temperatures witnessed a visible drop.
According to Chandigarh Met department, the sky is expected to be cloudy all through the day. The clouds are expected to stay on Tuesday and Wednesday as well.
The early morning rainfall brought some respite from hot temperatures but dampened the spirit of the school-goers.
City residents started posting pictures of rainfall on Facebook and Twitter from as early as 6.30am.
