Pseb Class Xii: 15 Mohali Schools Give 100% Result

With cent percent result in Class XII PSEB exams by 12 private and three government schools , the education scenario in Mohali district is evidently better compared to the statistics of previous years.

Last year, no government school had figured in the list of schools with cent percent result.

This year, apart from 12 private schools and three government schools — Government Senior Secondary School, Boota Singh Vala; Government Senior Secondary School, Pandwala; and Government Senior Secondary School, Singhpura — produced 100 per cent result. The total number of senior secondary schools in Mohali is 105.

Interestingly, all the three government schools are located in the rural belt.

However, the result of much-acclaimed Government Senior Secondary School at Phase 3B1 is just 67.54 per cent and Government Senior Secondary School in Phase 11 has put up a little better show with 83.33 per cent result.
The private aided-cum-affiliated schools, which achieved the milestone of 100 per cent result included Guru Teg Bahadur Public Senior Secondary School, Hamayonpur, Rathi Public Senior Secondary School, Lalru Mandi, DAV Model Senior Secondary School, Kurali, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Khalsa Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Padiala, Shivalik Model Senior Secondary School, Banur, Happy Model Senior Secondary School, Sohana, Vidya Niketan Senior Secondary School, Mohali, New Satluj Model Senior Secondary School, Jangpura, National Senior Secondary School, Banur, SN Public School, Gigemajra, Shri Guru Nanak Public Senior Secondary School, Todar Majra and Mata Gujri Khalsa Girls Senior Secondary School, Khera.

Of total 105 schools in the district, only one school produced nil result. Of total seven students of Saraswati Senior Secondary School at Lalru, three have been failed while the rest got compartments.

Among government schools, the poorest show has been put up by Government Senior Secondary School, Handesra, with just 36.90 per cent result. Other government schools in the district managed to produce result more than 59 per cent. As many as 14 government schools have shown above 90 per cent result in the district.

The overall result of the Mohali district is 79.61 per cent. Of total 5,970 students who appeared for the exams, 4,753 have passed while 376 have failed and 841 students got compartments.
